Low Tide Walk at SALT CREEK

On May 20 a group of Beach Watchers and PTMSC members took a trip to Salt Creek for the low tide walk. It was a great day, and we had lots of fun spotting and identifying tide pool creatures.
Jean kept a log of the many different plants and creatures that were found.

Our best finds were under seaweed and rocks!

Where's Waldo? Does anyone recognize this fellow?

Low Tide Walk

Beach Watchers and volunteers from the PTMSC joined together in April for our annual low tide walk. A highlight was watching an otter eating something on a rock then an eagle swooping down and swiping whatever it was! Wow. Sorry - no pix of that! But here he/she is looking skyward - hey! who took my lunch?

Our day was windy but gorgeous...

Everyone had something to look at!

We did some nature mapping. Here's some nature and.....

...Jean and Luther check to make sure we got it right.

One last rock to check before the tide comes in.
