That's the amount of value WSU Jefferson County Beach Watchers have provided so far this year. Volunteers have logged 1,449 hours year to date doing education, research and stewardship. Projects include stream flow monitoring, shellfish seeding, salmon surveys, tree planting, monitoring water/salmon/boats etc. and educating youth. Volunteers work as docents at Port Townsend Marine Science Center and Jefferson Land Trust and assist the North Olympic Salmon Coalition, Jefferson County Public Health, and others the Jefferson Conservation District with their work. We love what we do and can't wait to do more!
